Travel to Edinburgh

Edinburgh is serviced by one of the most accessible travel networks in the UK.

The airport is only 8 miles (12km) from the city centre, with 130 air routes from Europe, North America, Middle East, and good connections with the rest of the world as it is serviced by many of the international carriers and when not served with direct flights, then the international hubs of London, Birmingham and Manchester are only a 45 - 60 minutes flight away.

In addition to the city being well served by Edinburgh International Airport, it has excellent bus, taxi and tram links into the city centre, a journey of around 20 minutes.

The train links are excellent with London a 5 hour train journey and Manchester or Birmingham typically 3-4 hours. Glasgow is a 30 minute train journey.

Within the city, you will find all our accommodation recommendations are within a 5-15 minute walk of the conference venue and the city is compact and walking is often the preferred and simplest means of getting around once you have arrived. If you prefer, the UK's most modern tram network is an excellent way to get around the key parts of the city.

As our delegates you will enjoy the easy and quick movement between venues, hotels, attractions and social events.

For the last seven years, Edinburgh has retained its position as the most popular UK city after London for hosting international association meetings.
