The conference theme of "Eliminating Occupational Risk : Translating Research into Action" aims to focus on drawing together the latest work from our scientists around the world and synthesize the conclusions into a series of actions that we can seek to implement in our work.
The programme is now published with details of all keynotes, mini-symposia, oral presentations and poster presentations and workshops. While the format of the 3 day event is however in place, it may be subject to change we can offer you information on start and finish times on each day and the intended format.
Upon registration at the conference we can update you with any changes and answer all your questions.
We received almost 480 abstracts and our Scientific Committee have now placed them into our conference programme. Presenters will have been notified of their place in the programme by mid July.
This will be held at the EICC on Monday 28th August and will commence at 6.30pm and will allow delegates to familiarise themselves with the venue location and enjoy complimentary canapes and drinks and the opportunity to meet and chat with colleagues. The conference will be opened by welcome speeches from the Lord Provost of Edinburgh, the Conference Chair and will include our first key note speaker. The reception will follow at 7.45pm and will conclude at 9.00pm. It will be followed by the opportunity to watch the Festival Fireworks Display at 9.30pm which marks the end of the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe events.
"A Night at the Museum"
Our gala dinner and conference "party" will be held in one of Edinburgh's most iconic venues, the National Museum of Scotland, which is in close proximity to the hotels and the conference venue. It takes place on Wednesday 30th August and promises to be a night of traditional Scottish hospitality, fun, music and dance. We hope you can join us by booking places at the event. As a delegate, EPICOH 2017 will subsidise your gala dinner booking, but you will need to register and confirm your attendance when registering as a delegate.
The event is now fully booked.
We are pleased to offer delegates a range of optional events from Sunday 27th to Wednesday 30th August to help you enjoy your visit to Edinburgh and Scotland.
