EPICOH 2017 will be supported by an exceptional scientific committee of leading scientists, academics and researchers, comprising expertise from all over the world. With over 30 eminent research scientists, our committee represents a very multi-disciplinary view of Epidemiology today.
About Epicoh 2017
The 26th International Epidemiology in Occupational Health (EPICOH) Conference will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre between the 28th and 31st August 2017.
EPICOH is part of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) and has as its main function promotion of communication among epidemiologists, industrial hygienists, and other occupational health scientists worldwide.
The event spans three full days of presentations, discussions and networking on the most topical areas of workplace health and epidemiology. It brings scientific and research expertise from all over the world to a single event to share learning and foster future research projects.
SCOM / Modernet Conference 2017
The ICOH SCOM / Modernet conference has agreed to host a one day specific conference alongside EPICOH 2017 at the same venue. SCOM and Modernet Delegates can attend for this one day event at a day delegate rate, or can use their EPICOH delegate pass to attend SCOM / Modernet activities on the 30th and other EPICOH activities between the 28th and 31st August. All registrations and bookings and conference information will be published via this website.
Your UK organising committee is led by four key UK institutions in the field of Epidemiology; the Institute of Occupational Medicine, the University of Edinburgh, Heriot Watt University and the University of Glasgow, who prepared the successful bid for your visit to Scotland. We are pleased to be joined by leading figures associated with all four organisations to complete our organising committee.
We are pleased to have received support from several organisations, who have contributed in a variety of ways to the costs and delivery of our event. You can find out more from the Sponsors section.
Early Career Researcher Network
EPICOH has recently established a dedicated network to promote networking, research and career development of early career researchers in the field of occupational health and epidemiology. The group is targeted toward all students and researchers with fewer than 5 years of experience (from their terminal degree) in the field of occupational epidemiology or other related disciplines. Group activities are open to all researchers in the field irrespective of their experience and career stage.
For EPICOH 2017, an early career network (ECN) organising committee has been established with the aims of 1) to facilitate conference activities specifically targeted for early career scientists and 2) to promote the ECN and assist in ensuring its long-term sustainability. More information on the conference committee, and links to the social programme can be found here.
